Quesito:
Please could you tell me, is it a good news that I have done a HIV test (rapid test) after 50 days from the exposure and my result was negative. I took a test again (rapid test), almost after 11 weeks and my result was again negative. My doctor said me that there is no need to take another test, this is conclusive. I just want to be sure is it correct in 11 week to be conclusive.

Hi Do1, The HIV test has to be taken 30 days after the exposure and 90 days after it to confirm the result. So if you have taken it 11 weeks after the exposure the result is certain, there's no need to take another one. Best regards, Giulia Bruzzi , Giovanni Guaraldi, MD
